Changes to our Talking Therapies services

We’ve made some changes to the way our services are provided during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic to meet government restrictions and keep you and our staff safe.

We are responding to changes in the guidance for healthcare settings as they are announced and we'll continue to update this page with the latest information as it becomes available. 

One-to-one therapy

We are currently providing 1:1 therapies virtually by phone, online or by video call instead of in person.

Following the government restrictions being eased on 19th July, we will be starting a phased introduction of in-person therapies across Berkshire. As we plan our courses of therapy around two months ahead, the first in-person sessions are being planned for September and October 2021. These sessions will initially be available during normal office hours (Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm) only.

Masks and social distancing are still currently in place in NHS healthcare settings and we are planning on the basis that this will continue when we re-start individual sessions in the autumn.

We will continue to also provide therapies over the phone, by video, online, or using video consultation to offer a range of treatment options and so that you’re still able to receive support from the comfort of your own home.

Stress Less video workshops

Our Stress Less courses have been provided by pre-recorded video instead of in person throughout the pandemic. The videos are easy to follow and cover all of our course material.

Now that the government restrictions have been eased, we are considering how we may return to in-person group workshops again, subject to venue availability. We will update this age with more details on this as soon as it is practical to do so.

HealthMakers Pop-in Cafes

Our HealthMakers volunteers have moved their peer support sessions online and are holding a series of Virtual Pop-in Cafes each month instead of meeting in-person.

We are considering a return to in-person pop-in cafes and will update this webpage when we have more information.

You can contact our HealthMakers team to register your interest in sessions in your area.

Our Slough drop-ins are currently paused for the time being. We will update this page with further details as soon as we have more information to share about re-opening.
